1. Total number of books owned?

I'm not going to take the time right now to estimate it. A lot.

2. The last book I bought?

I don't buy a lot of books, actually... they seem to come into the house anyway. Probably the last one I paid money for was Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Which I am plugging away at, very slowly. It's not the kind of book you can carry with you, or even read at the dinner table (it's too thick and falls closed of its own weight).

3. The last book I read?

The last book I finished was The Year of Our War, which we read for our neighborhood SF book group. It had some lovely imagination but the main character left us cold. Currently in addition to Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell I am reading Finding Serenity, a collection of essays about Firefly.
