Nebula recommendations
Dec. 23rd, 2007 12:42 pmAs you may have read elsewhere, SFWA members are being encouraged to recommend works for the Nebula Awards before the end of the year, because this year's ballot is looking a little sparse.
I just sent in a recommendation for the brilliant "The Hotel Astarte" by
mkhobson, from Realms of Fantasy, June 2007, which I had the privilege to read in an earlier version. SFWA members can read it online, via a URL at the Nebula Awards Report web page at sfwa.org (login required).
I have also recommended The Name of the Wind by
patrickrothfuss, the finest fantasy doorstop in years.
My story "Titanium Mike Saves the Day" has received at least 3 recommendations so far (from Jack McDevitt, Mike Resnick, and Geoff Landis, so it's not just friends of mine). If you'd like to read it, just send me your email address and I'll zap you a copy.
