No, really. Starting real soon.

http://www.airshipventures.com/

The zeppelin was shipped by boat from Zeppelin AG in Germany to New Orleans Beaumont, Texas and is right this moment flying toward San Francisco. She just crossed the Arizona/California border, as documented on their blog: http://airshipventures.blogspot.com/.

$500 per ticket for a one-hour tour. $950 for two hours.

I read this and thought What?!?! A zeppelin was in New Orleans and I missed it? But then I read the blog and found that the ship had come into Beaumont Texas, not New Orleans. Too bad. That would have been a cool thing to have seen.

Oh, man.

I can even "afford" it FSVO "afford." Justifying it might be another question ...

The lightened weight on your wallet alone will send you floating off into the blue.

Neat, though.

This is essentially the same one I flew in from Fredreichstafen a few years back. Highly recommended.

The group discount gets it down to $480/person, but it's still a tad bit steep for an hour's entertainment, even an hour's really awesome entertainment.

If the price ever drops to half that, I might start thinking about it more seriously.

Uh ... we live next to Moffett Field.

Come stay with us for free so you can pay $500 to ride the zep.

I'm sure the emotional mathematics will cost-justify ... somehow.

Thank you. :)

And I consider "weird" to be a compliment of the very highest calibre.

Then again, I would, since I'm...

So cool! I'll never see a shuttle launch, and this is cheaper than the vomit comet flights out of Vegas.

Christmas is coming....
