I'm sorry I didn't post this earlier, but OryCon 44 starts tomorrow at the DoubleTree Hotel Portland (near Lloyd Center) and I am the Writer Guest of Honor! As GoH I will be appearing on a lot of programming: Friday, October 18:

• 3:00pm: Plot Considered as a Four-Dimensional Array of Brightly Colored Beads - Mt Bachelor
• 4:00pm: The Early History of the Space Station - Weidler
• 7:00pm: Masquerade! (I will be one of the judges) - Mult/Holl

Sunday, October 20:

• 11:00am: Autographs - Dealer Lobby
• 12:00pm: We all love a good caper story - Morrison
• 1:00pm: Making Effective Use of Point of View - Madison
• 2:00pm: LARPing European style - Lincoln

And then, on Monday after the convention, I will be flying to Tunisia for a Cthulhu Mythos LARP in the actual Sahara Desert! 85 players in 1930s costume will be heading off into the desert in search of the legendary city of Zerzura. Given that my character sheet has a whole section on "this is how you will behave when you descend into madness" I don't expect it will end well.
